Chacha Mairo is a Senior Associate at Lawhill & Co. Advocates providing services to clients on taxation, social security and capital markets; Banking and Finance and Commercial and Corporate Law. Besides serving the firm in the capacity of a Senior Associate, Chacha is also an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Private Law of the University of Dar es Salaam School of Law. He holds a degree of Bachelor of Laws (LLB-Hons), 2018 from the University of Dar es Salaam. Chacha has successfully completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Law School of Tanzania and has been admitted to the Bar.
Chacha’s areas of interests are on taxation, Banking and Finance Law, Capital Markets and Securities Law, International Law, Commercial and Corporate Law, Fiscal laws, Property Law, Procedural Law i.e. Criminal Procedure Law, Law of Civil Procedure and the Law of Evidence. Chacha has published on “the Efficacy of Local Government by-Laws on Waste Management in Tanzania Markets: A Case Study of Ilala District;” and “Protection of Trans-boundary Natural Resources in East African Community” examining the Effectiveness of Policy, Legal and Institutional Framework as part of the requirements for the award of Master of Laws (LL.M.) of the University of Dar es Salaam.

Besides serving the firm in the capacity of Legal Counsel, Mr. Chacha Mairo is also a Tutorial Assistant at the Department of Private Law of the University of Dar es Salaam School of Law. He holds a degree of Bachelor of Laws (LLB-Hons), 2018 from the University of Dar es Salaam. Mr. Mairo has successfully completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Law School of Tanzania and has been admitted to the Bar.
